Description: This portrait drawing shows the skill Nyilasi had developed after only a short time at the Ontario College of Art in Toronto. It is not only anatomically correct, but also captures the mood and personality of Dr. Kostya. This portrait shows the bitterness of a 1956 Hungarian refugee who has lost his professional status due to the language barrier and being too old to re-train in his career. Working at a low-level job to support his family, he can find no sense of fulfillment living in Canada.
