The ruins of the walls of medieval Visegrad Castle, Hungary, which is high in forested mountains.
Here we see the dramatic power of sharp sunlight breaking through an overcast sky onto a vast, wild landscape. It dramatically sweeps over the view from a mountain lookout. The green of the unkempt trees in the foreground is intensified and enlivened by recent rain. The viewer’s eye is led outward over the protective strength of the distant hills.
