The sun rises over Lake Ontario. The horizontal lines indicate a view from under the water’s surface. The largest stone, retrieved by Nyilasi from the lake shore, has pebbles with embedded fossils in it. The other pebbles used in this mosaic are also from Lake Ontario. Further compositional elements, which create colour and reflections, are smalti glass mosaic tesserae from Murano, Italy.
